Our brioche burger buns + bread is baked by Pavilion here in Newquay – GF bun available as an alternative to a brioche (v) / pretzel bun (vg)

Our house cheese is the amazing Swiss-style 50 Jack, produced by River Amble Creamery near Port Isaac

All burgers are served w. rosemary Cornish sea salted chips.  Our chips are vegan + gluten-free + cooked in rapeseed oil

Taking its name from the hangout of Newquay’s inaugural surfers of the 1960s, The Slope sits proudly on Great Western- the UK’s first surfing beach.  After lying unloved for many years, in 2017, Great Western was brought back to life by 4 times UK surf champ, Adam Griffiths.  The Slope has been designed to celebrate an original beach vibe with honest, locally-sourced food and, in partnership with Sharp’s Brewery, the best in local brews.  


Given our awesome location on the beach, our draft and bottled products are served in polycarbonate glassware. To allow you to dine on the beach, our full menu is available to take-away with compostable Vegware plates, cups, and cutlery.
